Well, that’s it for 2016 an interesting year in so many ways – an action packed year full of highlights – together with quite a few worries regarding family illness.
It was an honour to have, “Good Men and Women’, performed by a talented choir of students, and The London Gospel Community Choir, before an audience of almost 2000 people at an educational celebration event in London. Thanks David Evans for your faith in the song.
Gigging at one of the friendliest of venues, The Wee Folk Club at the Edinburgh Fringe is always good fun, enlivened by a multi-national audience. I certainly hope to be back next year. The Langdale festival is particularly special as so many people – musicians, organisers, bar staff etc. work enthusiastically, for no financial reward, to put on a great charity festival twice every year. The setting, in The Lake District, must make it one of the most beautiful venues in the UK. It’s well worth visiting one of their May or September events.
Supporting my mate, Vin Garbutt, at his annual Teesside Christmas concert was a real pleasure – what a storming gig. Finally, a last minute call from the BBC to sing on Radio Tees to help celebrate the Christmas season rounded off the year perfectly.
It would be good to sing in some new areas of the UK and abroad in 2017. So, get in touch!
All the best for 2017.
