“Long Way Home”, the new CD is on its way…
Every line of a Pete Davies song radiates incredible warmth and humanity.” Leigh Sayers, organiser of Building Bridges at The Studio Club
Just had the privilege of hearing Pete Davies’s soon to be released new brilliant CD ‘Long Way Home’. All self-penned, brand new, never recorded before, songs.” Vin Garbutt
The new CD should be here by August. Featuring eleven original songs, it’s taken some time but I feel that the wait has been worth it, and I hope you will agree. In fact the first review is already in from Vin Garbutt! I’m really excited about the release and getting the CD out in the public arena.
The recording and mixing is finished and the sleeve, designed by John Williams (http://www.imageworksne.co.uk), will be on its way next week to the manufacturers. I’m really delighted with the work that engineer and producer, Chris Johnson (http://www.chris-johnson.info) has done. It’s been a joy to work with him. As well as being so good at the technical side of recording he is also a great singer and songwriter in his own right and therefore he helps to bring an extra dimension to the creative process. Alongside my friends Bri Dales and Mark Dunston, (who contribute some blinding guitar work and sax respectively – both also appeared on “The Witness” CD), Chris has brought in very experienced musicians, Alex Cromarty on drums, Christian Topman on electric and double bass, Heather Findlay on backing vocals and Angela Gordon on flute – thanks guys!
Initially the CD will be available at gigs and by mail order, and eventually on download via the website – www.petedaviesmusic.co.uk
For mail order details drop me an email at email@example.com – the cost will be £12.00 inc post and package.
